LYNDHURST, N.J. — Strike a pose—#yoga that is—outdoors in #Lyndhurst at the Municipal Park on Delafield Avenue.
Join Studio 108 for the inaugural Yoga in the Park class on Thursday, Aug. 2. This is the first of several donation-only Yoga in the Park classes throughout the month of August. Classes will be taught on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in August by Studio 108 owner Teresa Dornellas.
“I’m really excited. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. I’m grateful to the Township of Lyndhurst for giving us this opportunity to bring Yoga in the Park to Lyndhurst,” said Dornellas, a North Arlington resident who’s been teaching yoga for 10 years.
“When you bring your yoga practice outside, you get this unique opportunity to deepen your connection to the earth. Plus, practicing on a slightly uneven surface helps to further strengthen your core and your feet muscles,” she added.
The schedule is:
- Tuesdays, Aug. 7, 14, 21, 28 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. In case of rain, class will be held at the studio, located at 289 Stuyvesant Avenue, 2nd floor, Lyndhurst. (It’s a two-minute walk from the park.)
- Thursdays, Aug. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 from 5:30-6:15 p.m. In case of rain, the class is canceled.
- Saturdays, Aug. 4, 11, 18, 25 from 12-1 p.m. In case of rain, the class is canceled.
Classes are pay what you can, by donation. All are welcome and encouraged to join in and first-timers are encouraged to participate. We will pace the class so all levels will have a good experience.
