“Namaste” is said at the end of most every #yoga class, often with a slight bow of the head, the palms pressed together at the heart center. But what does this universal #Sanskrit term mean?
Namaste is a traditional greeting used in India and is a combination of two Sanskrit terms: namah (I bow respectfully to you) and aste (let there be).
When we say “Namaste,” we’re saying “The divine in me honors the divine in you.” In India, the meaning is conveyed through the gesture alone.
